Sultana Scones

  • Ingredients

  • 2 cups (250g) self-raising flour

    1 tsp baking powder

    ½ cup EQUAL Spoonful

    30g butter or margarine

    ½ cup sultanas

    1 cup low fat milk

    Milk to glaze


  1. Preheat oven to 220°C. Line an oven tray with baking paper.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl, stir in the Equal Spoonful. Rub in the margarine until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sultanas. Add almost all the milk and mix with a flat bladed knife until the mixture comes together.
  3. Pat the dough out on a lightly floured surface to 2cm thickness. Use a round cutter to cut out rounds. Place close together on a baking tray and brush with the extra milk. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden and risen. Serve warm.
